2013 SUMMER CAMPS ANNOUNCED!

The University of Kansas softball program would like to announce their 2013 summer camp schedule.  We will host three different camps for players of all ages and skills levels.  The first camp will be our All-Skills Camp for players going into grades 3-8, followed by our High School Camp for players going into grades 9-12 and we will end with our Pitcher/Catcher Camp for pitcher and catchers heading into grades 3-12.

ALL SKILLS CAMP - JUNE 10-13 - COST: $300 - COMMUTER ONLY!

The All Skills Camp will focus on the development of all fundamental skills of the game.  The camp staff will work with all skill levels in the areas of hitting, bunting, base running, infield and outfield play, pitching, catching, and game competition.     Included in this camp are demonstrations, drills, and position specific work.  The All-Skills Camp will run from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

HIGH SCHOOL CAMP - JULY 15-18 - COST: $400 OVERNIGHT - $325 COMMUTER

The High School Camp is designed for players entering the 9-12th grade ONLY.  Campers will be divided into competitive teams and will be coached by a collegiate level coach for all sessions.  Sessions will be geared toward team concepts and individual skills, which will prepare players for high school level softball.  Campers will participate in a strength and conditioning session, have their swing video analyzed, learn recruiting rules and strategies, and become familiar with collegiate academic standards.  The High School Camp will begin with registration around noon on the 15th and end at noon on the 18th.  Commuter hours will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Wednesday.

PITCHER/CATCHER CAMP - JULY 18-19 - COST:  $225 OVERNIGHT - $175 COMMUTER

PITCHERS: Pitchers will be trained by a collegiate level staff as well as former and current KU players. Pitchers will be divided by skill level and will learn the mechanics of pitching, improve their speedand accuracy, and/or learn and develop movement pitches.  Advanced pitchers will experience collegelevel pitching training techniques.

CATCHERS:  An experienced catching staff will train catchers on the skills of blocking, receiving, throwing, calling pitches and much more.  Catchers will be divided by skill level to ensure maximum development.

The Pitcher/Catcher Camp will begin with registration in the early afternoon on the 18th and will end in the afternoon on the 19th.
